Neon has been enjoying plenty of fashion attention for some time now, and I have dabbled a little with the odd belt or piece of jewellery. Now it's time for shoes with a nod to neon. I curated myself a little neon collection with my latest order from Sarenza. It's a good way to shop actually as I now know I have two pairs of shoes (one heel, one flat) and a belt to tie into this look, making it easier to build outfits.
I've been looking forward to summer for some time with my purchases so hopefully we'll actually get some sunshine soon.
Blow left are the Lara Sandal by Ravel. Featuring a flash of neon alongside classic nude and black straps, these suited my style perfectly and they are only £40. Plus they are really well made and super comfortable to wear too. The inside is buttery soft so I can see these being a summer staple for me to take me from work to post-office frolics.
Below right is something a little more daring. These are the Chrissy Heel from Sole Society. Sole Society are a pretty new brand to my shoe radar, hailing from Australia. Emily Sun, the brand's Director of Merchandising & Buying says: "Sole Society brings to you all of the same fashion trends and quality craftsmanship found in high-end boutiques and department stores, but at a fraction of the cost." At just over £100 these neon/tribal print wonders aren't that cheap but they do look awesome on. Unfortunately I won't be wearing them out on drunken nights again though as it's a long way down to tumble (which I did on Friday night, oh the shame). At least the reflecting neon panels would have made me easy to spot :)
My final neon finishing touch is this oval belt from Esprit. It comes in a good range of sizes and I got mine in a size that worked as both a waist belt and one that would work for jeans too. I reckon the belt teamed with some cool denim shorts and my new Ravel flats would make a fab little holiday outfit.
