SHOES - Simple Strappy Sandals for SS13

Cacharel on the catwalk for spring/summer

The days are finally getting brighter, one much-welcomed hint that spring will soon be here. So now I can start talking about all the things I loved on the SS13 catwalks and how to work the new trends and key pieces into your or my own wardrobe.

One of my favourite shows with a really fresh look for summer was Cacharel. The palette of cream, orange and blues was striking yet easy to wear which is always good to see. The summer knitwear was a particular highlight, and I've written about that in a feature for Knitting Magazine which will be coming out soon. To complement the lighter and brighter colours of the clothing, models wore strappy pale-coloured sandals. Far from the Essex-Girl white shoe, these worked with the look and stayed on the right side of sophisticated.

For summer events like weddings and the races this style is always a great option as it won't take the attention away from the rest of your outfit... just be careful of grass and mud. Or your lovely white sandals will be a mixture of white, green and brown. Not such a good look.

Take a look at a few styles from Spartoo which fit the bill...
