SHOES - Get the Look: Sling-backs

Kimberly Chandler in Vogue's Annual Best Dressed List

I spotted this pic of Kimberly Chandler in Vogue's Annual Best Dressed List and her peep-toe, sling-back shoes caught my eye. It's a style that seems to have lost its fashion status of late and actually I'm quite fond of this classic shoe design. It's great for those with shorter legs as the straps aren't up high on the anklle (that can cut-off the leg and make them appear shorter).

Inspired by the shot, I found a few pairs of sling-back women's sandals and courts on Spartoo. Any of these would look great teamed with a red dress or jumpsuit like Kimberly's.

Patent black slingback shoes
With a towering heel and patent black finish, these Carvela sling-back courts are just a little bit 'TOWIE' for me. Must be the platform and big buckle. They'd make me look so much taller though!

Flower detail slingback black high heel shoes

With a more modest heel and sturdier style, these chic shoes remind me of elegant dinner dances. They're by Pura Lopez, a traditional family business with a modern edge.

Midnight blue high heel slingback shoes with flower detail

These were my favourite pair and would make a great 'something blue' for a wedding.Sometimes navy makes a stylish alternative to black too. You can snap these up from Menbur.

Modern black and white, monochrome peep toe slingback shoes
If you're still not convinced and want a more modern take on the sling-back shoe, why not try these monochrome marvels from Strategia. They've got a more architectural feel, but they've also got a bigger price tag.

Post written in conjunction with Spartoo shoes.
