TRENDS - Metallic Accents on Shoes

By now, any dedicated shoe-lovers will have got their knee-high boots and ankle-boots sorted, so why not look to getting next season's shoe trends now. One of my favourite looks from the catwalk and designer collection press previews was metallic accents... think gold toes, silver straps and bronze colour blocking.

J Mendel and Emporio Armani had models wearing white and silver strappy heels. See by Chloe featured pointed metallic toes on kitten heels and metallic fronts to the soles. United Nude featured mirrored effect wedge heels and bronze, wide straps.

These styles below are from Sarenza and there's plenty to choose from to get the metallic looks, whether you've got a lot to spend or not so much. Although, to be fair, most of these fall into the higher price bracket.

gold and black pumps
Simple colour blocked pumps are a great way to work the metallics look in spring.

Terry de Havilland silver metallic high heel wedges

Who wouldn't love a pair of these?! The only thing that puts me off is the mad heel height. If only I was more graceful wearing towering wedges.

Blue suede chelsea boots
I love this twist on the Chelsea boot, dark blue suede and gold are such a fab combination.

Oscar designer shoes

These are definitely my favourite. A subtle way to work the look but a chic option for the office.

Gold ankle boots with glitter backs

If you like the idea of the Midas touch then opt for these gold and glittery flat boots.

Silver flat shoes
These are another fave of mine and a stylish way to take on the boyish trend.
