TRAVEL - I love Budapest

The Marzipan Museum in Budapest, hungry

Here I am outside a marzipan shop/museum in Budapest. I went there in 2006 with a friend and it was one of the most memorable places, so I sought it out on my recent trip back to Budapest with my boyfriend. We spent a long weekend sightseeing, drinking and eating, as is so often the case on weekend breaks, and it was fab!

My must-have pieces for the trip were my new faux fur trimmed coat from Red Herring at Debenhams and my Betty London studded boots from Spartoo. The weather was OK while we were there. A little grey in the day but not too cold, a little colder in the evening.

Our adventures in Budapest

We crammed a lot into our few days... we visited the zoo, a ruin bar, the baths, the castle, the palace Fisherman's Bastian, two churches, a Medieval restaurant, modern Hungarian Restaurant, food market, boat trip, bus trip and loads more. Here are just a few more snaps I took (although, actually, I didn't really take many at all... too busy taking it all in).
