FASHION - Totally Tribal Style

Tribal prints were such a hit on the catwalk at Burberry, that alone could have been enough to make them a big hit on the high street. Of course, trends don't usually just happen overnight and plenty of other brands saw this look coming too, which means there's loads of fabulous tribal styles to discover.

Personally, I love the brighter styles like those pictured above, but you can easily work the look in a neutral or monochrome palette too. You can even go for tribal nails like the ones above (I don't think I have the patience to recreate them myself though).

Here's a bit more inspiration from the high street...

When  it comes to jewellery, it's really easy to recreate the tribal look. Hammered metal styles, feathers, chunky stones and turquoise are all things to look out for. Layer them up for maximum style, as shown in this lookbook shot from M&S

Matalan's SS12 collection features some fabulous little tribal-inspired pieces. Try printed trousers (another top trend this season) or a cool bag like the one pictured above, ideal for festival season.

M&S (left) and New Look (right) have both tackled the trend in a way that'll make you look chic on the beach. I can definitely see these styles in Ibiza and other young and funky resorts.
