REVIEW - Anesis Spa & Fish Pedicure
Just before the madness of Fashion Week set in, I was invited along to Anesis Spa in Clapham to try out their Piscean pedicure, yup that's the one wear fish nibble at your feet. I took along Tor from Fab Frocks so we could make a girly evening of it.
I hadn't had a fish pedicure before and I wasn't apprehensive like some people were. The fish don't actually have teeth so you can't get bitten, they are just taking away the dry and dead skin. The idea that is after the treatment you are just left with lovely soft feet. The booths are set up in pairs which makes it great for catching up with a mate while you have the treatment and they play chilled out Ibiza tunes so you really can relax and forget about the world for a little while.
After half an hour with my feet in the tank, I had my toe nails painted a lovely berry shade (very now!) and finished up with a cupcake - heavenly. I'd probably say my feet still need a bit more work before they are in tip top condition, and you'd probably need regular sessions to really feel the difference, but I would definitely go back and have it done again.
The salon is decorated really well, and is currently expanding to be able to offer more services. They already offer lashes, manicures, pedicures and HD brows so you could just go and get the whole lot done and come out a new woman. They've had loads of celebs in too from Sarah Harding to Tulisa and also have spas in Ibiza, Puerto Banus and Harvey Nicols. If only I'd been invited to the Ibiza or Puerto Banus one... at least we've had some sunny weather here though, can't complain too much.
Here's the full treatment list.
