Established fashion designer Bernard Chandran's shows have been some of my favourites over the past few seasons showing off fabulous feathers, embellishment and with thumping tunes that have stayed in my mind.
This past London Fashion Week, the Bernard Chandran show was held near Hyde Parkm Corner in a venue I'd never been to before but I manged to get quite a good spot for taking snaps. From reading the press release I knew I was going to like the collection because there were strong inspirations from the 1950s - my ultimate fashion decade!
Bernard Chadran put a twist on the classic fifties silhouettes though, incorporating more structural shapes with the fitted pencil style skirts in dresses being a key shape. The shirt dress was another garment that was executed particularly well. Plus, the use of metallics added a fresh new edge to the outfits - anyone for an oversized gold bag that perfectly matches your dress? Sure! I was most in love with the beautiful feather-adorned dresses though - beautifully designed and crafted.
