The Mark Fast show began for me with a poem. That's what was printed on the press release for the collection which was inspired by desert mirages and tropical exoticism. You could see the sandy tones throughout the catwalk show as model after model walked out in golden fringing. The movement as the models walked was intended to represent a sand storm and it certainly caught your attention, there was even a tasseled oversized bag to match the statement dresses.
But the neutral palette had some seriously bright pops of colour too which gave it that utterly tropical feel. Orange was seen across numerous collections for Spring/Summer including Matthew Williamson, Victoria Beckham and Jasper Conran. It's a hot hue and one that's bound to flood the high street too - plus bright orange looks fab with a tan.
Take a look at some of my fave looks below.
Mark's short, knitted and figure-hugging dresses were still in there, but there was something a bit more grown up about the collection on the whole, especially with the maxi dresses. The collection was coordinated with every girl's dream shoe brand Christian Louboutin, Linda Farrow sunglasses and Pebble jewellery.
Trends to watch: Super long tassles, orange and daring skirt splits.
A big thanks to Glaceau vitaminwater for inviting me along to this show. Every fashionista knows that when it comes to Fashion Week, vitaminwater is an essential part of what keeps us all going.
