Lako Bukia's collection was shown at Vauxhall Fashion Scout, and the designs have grown on me each season. For Spring/Summer 2012, Asian trees and flowers have inspired the designs and you can see it in the beautifully exotic prints running through the collection. The thing that struck me most this time round was just how wearable the collection was. A lot more mainstream than some of their other looks from past seasons and this was deliberate in order to reach a wider audience with her designs.
Feminine materials including sheer chiffons were still a key look but the prints were new. They even tied the chiffon in by using it as ribbon laces for the shoes (more on shoe trends over here). The gathered waist details also stood out, usually reserved for quite stiff fabrics, the Lako Bukia look was with lighter, more delicate fabrics which made the look slightly fresher.
