Sale shopping - it's one of those tasks that some people relish and others despise. But there are definitely techniques to avoid the stress and nab a bargain. Personally, I quite enjoy bargain-hunting.
SoFeminine.co.uk asked me to take part in a blogger challenge. They gave me a budget of £50 and I had to go find myself a great buy. In my head I knew I had a wedding and a couple of summer events coming up so a versatile frock was top of my list. I headed out to central London on a Sunday morning, arriving just before the stores opened so I could get my pick of the tidy racks.
I popped in a couple of shops but then spotted a big sign in Mango's window which said EVERYTHING HALF PRICE. Yup, every item was half price - everything from little skirts and light knits to statement dresses.
I tried on quite a bit but in the end settled for this bright blue and yellow flower print dress with sheer sleeves. It's definitely summery, can be dressed up or down and the sheer sleeves are big news for next season too so it won't get shoved to the back of the wardrobe come Autumn. Plus, it was reduced from £75 to £37.50. I didn't quite manage to spend my £50 in the end... but I did get the ring in a sample sale for 50p and the belt is from Primark at £1.50.
There's some more pics below, and SoFeminine will be showcasing some of their favourites from the style challenge over at their fashion pages so do check it out for more blogger shopping tips.
Other items in the pics are my wooden wedges from Guess, green bag from Style Studio (in Kingly Court of Carnaby Street), necklace from Accessorize (years ago) oh and my trusted Michael Kors watch which I got in New York a couple of months ago.
I decided to wear it on Friday as I was going out straight from work with the boyfriend for a nice meal. We went to Aqua first for a drink on their roof terrace - just the one mind as it's pretty darn expensive. Then it was off to Gauchos for some steak action. I just can't get enough of that place although the healthy eating has gone out of the window this week with meals out and a hen party. Back to being well-behaved next week.
