NEWS - Vintage Lover Must-Haves
The lovely Natasha Bailie, who runs her own vintage website, has just launched her first ready-to-wear collection of vintage style dresses - hurrah! I got to know Natasha through various blogging events including our time at Britain's Next Top Model Live so I am super pleased to see the gorgeous new dresses she's created.
The collection of dresses is inspired by Natasha's (and my) favourite era - the 1950s. With 5 floral prints to choose from, availability in sizes 8-14 and international shipping in 7-10 days getting one is easy as pie, although be quick, as they are limited edition. You wouldn't want to bump into another vintage stylista in the same frock.
In other vintage news... WilliamVintage founder William Banks-Blaney has been dubbed "The Vintage King" by Vogue and his perfectly edited collections will be available at Browns from Friday 10 June. Prices range from £375 to £16,750, and the fabulous vintage finds include amazing labels such as Balenciaga, Balmain, Ossie Clark, Dior, Lanvin and many more.
I've not in the past, been able to view the collections due to the William Vintage boutique being open by appointment only. The link-up with Browns is great because it means more of us will be able to experience the vintage clothing in the flesh. I can't wait to pop into the store.
I also just got this book in the post after buying it for a measley £6.97. I recommend it to everyone who loves '50s fashion, style and beauty. Buy Gil Elvgren: All his Glamorous American Pin-ups (25th Anniversary) and it will be well worth the money.
