STYLE - My London Style Adventure

Ford Ka/Toni & Guy style experience

Remember I told you about the Ford Fa &/Toni & Guy competition I was involved with before Christmas. Well this past weekend was my finalist's day of fun with me. My style experience had us hopping all over London and spending some big bucks as part of my winner Laura's prize and my reward for helping promote the competition.

We began our day at Toni & Guy in South Kensington. I was in need of a hair cut, my ends were all dry and my fringe was a fright. Here are our before and after shots.

Next up it was manicure and make-up time at the Urban Retreat spa in Harrods. I opted for a dark burgundy colour on my nails to match my new Aspinal of London handbag. Laura went for a bight pink. My make-up was done at the Laura Mercier counter as I was interested to find out how good the brand was. I liked the foundation and serums and can recommend them for staying power throughout the day. We also had lunch in Harrods at the Venetian style Cafe Florian. The food was delicious and we had to have a glass of champers to spend some of the generous budget we'd been allowed. I went for a Kir Royale and Laura opted for a strawberry champagne cocktail... coincidentally our drinks matched our nails as you can see below. Not intentional, honest!

Then from one iconic department store to another. This time our destination was Selfridges for some spending! Laura hit the high street area for some bargain clothing buys. The French Connection sale has been amazing this time round with massive discounts. I picked up a gorgeous lace dress for £35 instead of £95 and Laura's stash was all at great prices. I also decided to use the opportunity to bag myself a new laptop. I wanted something that would benefit my blogging seeing as this whole experience came about because of it. Fashion Week is going to be a lot easier now I have it. We relaxed in the shoe galleries drinking mojitos and eating chilli squid. Heaven!

We finished up the day dashing across London to The Savoy Theatre to watch Legally Blonde the musical which was really good fun. It was entertaining, funny and the musical talent was really amazing too. Denise Van Outen is looking good, can't believe she not long ago had a baby.

Phew! Exhausting, but fun. Thanks to Ford Ka for running a fab contest.
