FASHION - Aminaka Wilmont's Striking Prints

In the manic rush that is press day season, I popped along to check out the Aminaka Wilmont collections for both AW10 and SS11, in the flesh. I saw the AW10 styles back at Fashion Week in February - here's what I wrote back then

The pics below are from the SS11 collection which I am loving even more than this season's. The butterfly detailing on shoes and dresses were amazing and the prints all had a natural feel to them. Pebbles, butterflies, leaves, clouds and water ripples feature throughout the catwalk looks. The colour has been taken out though and this leaves a coordinating palette of mismatched prints which from a distance you can't identify. It's only when you get close that the actual prints come to life. My favourite dress is the first one pictured. It appeared to be a truly flattering style that anyone could wear with a simple shape underneath covered with beautiful draped, printed fabric.

If the price of those is out of your reach, get the look with this digital butterfly print dress from Blue Inc. At just £19.99, the tube dress is a nod to the trend but without the price tag.
