FRAGRANCE - Naughty Alice by Vivienne Westwood
I received a little press mailer this week about the new Vivienne Westwood fragrance, Naughty Alice - love the name! I'd been meaning to try it out but hadn't got round to it so my little rub-and-sniff message in the post came at a good time. It's quite a traditional scent with a warmth and spiciness to it. It's described as both sexy, musky yet comforting and that's pretty much spot on I'd say.
The ingredients include black rose, carnal violet and ylang, ylang and the last ingredient is probably why I like it. I love ylang ylang. I also love, love, love the bottle. It's still got that nod to Vivienne Westwood heritage in a heavy glass bottle with a touch of Alice's magic potions to it. You also get a charm on the bottle which can be worn as a bracelet - and it's better quality than most other ones that I've seen.
Tor of Fab Frocks has also chosen it as her wedding fragrance, you can see what she thought of it over at her blog. To see the beautiful illustration that has been created to market the fragrance, visit the official website and if you have a webcam you can see Alice come to life which is pretty clever.
Prices start at £22 for a 150ml shower gel, rising to £60 for a 75ml eau de parfum. It's now available nationwide after a period of exclusivity in Selfridges.
