EVENT - The Shoe Galleries Officially Launched

I'm a bit slow on this one but I got some good pictures so thought it was well worth a mention. Selfridges recently opened their Shoe Galleries to the world officially by closing Oxford Street and turning everything yellow with confetti. The shoe galleries had been open in part for the last couple of months while works continued to develop the rest of the area. Now it's all complete and you'll be wowed by what you see - shoe boutiques and brands all in one place and curated like the most glamorous gallery in the world. If you're ever passing, check it out. I'm in there a couple of lunch times a week cooing over the beautiful shoes.

With 55,000 shoes in stock at any one time and 4,000 shoes on display from over 150 brands it's a shoe-lover's paradise. Have a look at the layout of the shopping floor. There are also a selection of shoes exclusive to Selfridges, and the pair below are my favourite of them.

Nicholas Kirkwood 'Control' - £645 - Available in-store only
The UK's hottest shoe designer gets messy with a spray can effect on these lattice mid-calf boots that feature a brand new Kirkwood heel shape as well as a very subtle grey ombre effect on the suede.
