COMPETITION - Running in Sarenza Heels
Running in heels... we've probably all done it trying to catch a bus perhaps, but there's another event which may yield a more exciting outcome.
Online shoe retailer Sarenza is bringing their High Heel Race to Britain. Sponsored by French tights brand Dim, the race is renowned in France taking place each year with a star-studded final in Paris during November.
You may have seen me enter a blogger contest earlier this year to celebrate the launch of Sarenza.co.uk. The new Brit website means this year's battle is international, with 16 French teams facing 16 English teams.
It all kicks off on October 9th from 2-8pm in London and entrants in the UK will have the chance to qualify for the Parisian final, where they could be in the running for the ultimate prize of £2,500 worth of shoes from Sarenza. At the London heat, girls will don Sarenza heels and compete as individuals as they race along the bespoke 15m pink Sarenza track. The four fastest competitors of the day then select their two stealthiest friends to join them and make a team of 3 girls for the final.
Sarenza will be offering all competitors at the London heat the chance to a win a £1000 voucher to spend on shoes in their Golden Shoe Box random prize draw. They will also be awarding all participants with surprise goodies.
For all those that can’t get to London, Sarenza is offering the chance to register online, where a lucky dip will select twelve more teams at random to join the British pack in Paris. British qualifiers will get travel and accommodation paid for the Paris final in November and they'll even be allowed to bring along supporters too.
So do you have a passion for dashing in heels? I'm concerned for the safety of my weak ankles but by all means ladies, go ahead... get down to Truman Brewery car park on October 9th, or register now at www.highheelrace.co.uk.
