I love Qype events because they allow you to discover places you never knew about before. Last week I discovered Kuno Tierra just off Regent Street. I'd been to the hairdressers upstairs before who knew there was a gorgeous spa tucked away downstairs... not me.
I booked in for reflexology and a mini facial. I've never had reflexology before and I know that a lot of people have an issue with people touching their feet. I thought I did until a masseuse incorporated foot massage into a treatment I had in the past and now I don't have an issue at all. It feels good to give your feet some attention, after all, they take your weight all day long and need to be looked after. This particular treatment was incredibly relaxing and the therapist was knowledgeable and friendly. Different pressure points were stimulated which helps tensions around the body, the main one for me being my shoulders because of carrying all my worldly possessions around in a far-too-large handbag.

The facial I had was short but I could tell that it would be worth the money. The products used were Elemis which I use at home (when my budget stretches) so it was perfect for my skin. Other people at the event had massages which they gave rave reviews and I also watched as other girls had their nails done by the master manicurist at the spa. I flicked through her book of work and there were some really cool styles in there. Maybe next time my nails need some loving I'll take them to Kuno Tierra.
The actual setting for the spa is dark, beautifully decorated with a fabulous relaxation area with sofas to lounge on while you wait. Even the toilets smell nice! The rooms are clean, comfortable and cosy - you really feel like you could fall asleep at any moment. Heaven! I also had the chance to speak to the manager there and some of the therapists which was a nice opportunity that you rarely get by just popping into a salon for a treatment.
The location is really central and I would definitely come back for treatments in future.
