Being an Aussie Angel certainly has it's perks. On Thursday, Aussie threw possibly the best party I had ever been to at London's swanky Mahiki bar. It started quietly enough, a few girls drinking cocktails with a make-up artist to do touch ups. But the fun just kept on coming with Dim Sum served by a half naked man, making cocktails behind the bar, possibly the best table magic I've ever seen and some rather expensive drinks that just kept on coming. Through the course of this project Aussie have shown themselves to be a fun brand who are about more than making your hair smell great - they want to make you feel good too. I think that's what this event really achieved... I just wish I could have taken all my friends along.
I took along two friends, Jo and Dee, who both had their make-up done to begin with. False lashes, smoky eyes - the works. We sampled a lot of the menu, Mahiki cocktails, cosmopolitans, strawberry shots, treasure chests - it was all lovely. We spent most of the evening with the lovely Tor of Fab Frocks and her sister and I also got a chance to chat to Fashion Dreamer and FashionKnitsta who were also there to enjoy the party.
Then later in the evening it was time to get our dancing shoes on and make some moves on the dance floor - my highlight being Prince's 'Raspberry Beret'. I can't believe how comfy my skyscraper heels from Office are. I lasted the night with ease. We even went home with a little gift. I can't thank Aussie enough for the great night out with lovely people and lovely entertainment.
