I came, I swished... and I sort of conquered. I, like lots of other lovely bloggers, headed over to Punk Nightclub for a VIP swishing event hosted by Tampax earlier this week. If you haven't yet come across swishing, it's essentially people getting together to swap clothes. I went in with 5 items of my clothing to swap and was given 5 tokens to take the same amount home with me. It's a great idea as no money needs to be spent but you end up with something new.
The highlight of the things I took along was a yellow shift dress and my favourite item I took home was a vintage beige and black printed dress... I'm currently thinking up a way to wear it. Pics will come when I do. It was actually brought in by Natasha Bailie who runs a lovely vintage website. Check it out.
It must be hard coming up with fun ideas to promote a product like Tampax, but they've managed it with the funny and quirky Mother Nature idea. She just can't help giving a gift each month - sort of cheesy but it totally works and the Facebook page has oodles of fans. Anyway, here's more about the event...
We were treated to drag Queen entertainment for the evening.
Cupcakes and champagne, a combination that never fails to impress.
Lipgloss86 and KB

I'd love to go to a party like that. It'd be even more fun if themed 'bad taste' and you get to swap the most horrible pcs you own and get some other horrible clothes for them (or maybe you're lucky and like what others might hate). I'd have a lot of fun seeing everyone in the most terrible outfits having a blast
Brilliant!!! I love that this is going on right now! Must look into this as I have loads of stuff I need to pass on!
