INTERVIEW - Shane from One Goodie

This week Shane, co-owner of One Goodie answers my style questions. One Goodie is a product-per-day boutique, featuring one upscale item each day at an off-price. The boutique has two markets: Foodies and Mommies.

Describe your personal style:

I'm a big city girl living in a small town. The benefit of living in a small town is that I don't need to succumb to every single trend that graces the pages of Lucky and In Style. But...having lived in Chicago and Manhattan, I still like to indulge myself in a few choice trends throughout each season, while still keeping a classic overall look.

What are your wardrobe staples?
Good jeans, capri jeans, wedge sandals. The wedges give me the height (I'm 4'8") but are easy to walk around in with my two young children.

What inspires you?
Certain friends whose style I admire. Really - celebrities don't inspire me as much as people I know.

Who is your fashion muse?
For dressy events, always Sarah Jessica Parker. For all else - designers like Michael Kors.

Favorite purchase of all time:
Red Gucci loafers. I wear a size 4 so it's very difficult to find shoes. Although this style is not "in" right now - I will never part with these.

What has been your biggest splurge?
A black, Cinzia Rocca wool coat with faux fur. It's a pricey piece, but practical. I'll wear it forever.

Daily beauty routine:
Exercise before the kids get up - 5:30 or so - so that I can do it in peace. 10 or so glasses of water and a healthy diet. I'm a fan of the Lift Fusion products, as well as many of the less expensive Philosophy products.

Jewelry I never take off:
Wedding rings.

Thanks to Shane for taking the time to tell us about her style. I admire her dedication to exercise and completely agree with the benefits of a wedge heel!
