SKINCARE - Sensitive Skincare Made Simple

skincare simple natural
Until fairly recently, skincare was all about perfumed lotions and potions with exotic ingredients and usually price tags to match. Now, we are seeing a shift towards organic, natural or simple skincare that is kinder to our skin and does not contain the harsh chemicals present in some of those big beauty brands.

Simple has been around for almost 50 years and knows that using the kindest ingredients pays dividends when it comes to looking and feeling good. In 1960 they introduced perfume and colour-free soap, recommended by doctors for sensitive skin and in the seventies launched their famous cleanse, tone and moisturise regime.

By the 1990s, when the rest of the beauty industry started to embrace natural skincare, Simple was one step ahead with an already brimming range of skincare solutions – all containing nothing but goodness. This vast range now includes Simple Sun, Simple Baby, an anti-ageing range, men's products and more.

Along with my testing team, I have reviewed some key Simple products below. You can find Simple in Boots and other good chemists and supermarkets.

Moisturising facial wash
Texture: 5/5
Results: 5/5
Verdict "I would buy this again, my boyfriend loves it."

Restoring night cream
Texture: 3/5
Results: 4/5
Verdict "I prefer a thicker night cream, this was quite mousse-like in texture, and light compared to the night creams I have used."

Eye make up remover pads
Verdict " anyone who wears a fair amount of eye make up might be disappointed with these wipes. They didn't remove the make up as easily as other brands I have used."

Daily Radiance Cleansing Wipes
Texture: 5/5
Results: 5/5
Verdict " the wipes were thick and durable, they cleansed the face well and smell nice too."

Kind to Eyes Balm
Texture: 5/5
Results: 4/5
Verdict "this cream has a great texture that sinks in well. Results are not instant but you will notice a difference if you remember to use it often."
