The latest cosmetic trends are definitely bolder than they have been in previous seasons. I have covered colourful eye shadows in this blog, but lets not forget eyelashes. You needn't have to choose from just black or brown mascara, why not jazz things up a little. I first tried this with a little bargain glitter mascara I found at Bodyshop a few years ago. I just coat the very tips of my lashes with silver sparkles, and it really adds a special something for night time make-up.
Why not try some different colours, jade green, teal and blue are always good. You can keep things subtle by using a normal mascara, and then just coating the tips with colour and this will just show up in the light. I did see someone with black and white mascara on and it can look really different and definitely dramatic.
Otherwise, glitter and shimmer can be good. Gold, bronze or silver give the lashes extra dazzle which can look really cool, but again, don't overdo it. We don't want to look like a Christmas tree, and not only that, your vision will seem as if a disco ball has got stuck on your retina! If you can't find a glitter mascara, then you can use a glitter eyeliner to coat the edges of the eyelashes and this is just as effective.

Alice bands and headbands are popping up all over the place and work with the most casual of outfits right up to red carpet events. Paris Hilton, Peaches Geldof and Lily Allen are all fans. Wear with your hair in a messy 'up do' for laid back glamour, or with hair down and some root backcombing for style that others will envy. If you don't have a headband to hand, why not try a tied ribbon or scarf which can have the same effect. Here are some ideas for you...

This dress is Grecian goddess meets Hollywood glamour and hits 2 current trends, belted and pleated. I think dresses that make the most of the waist will always look feminine and pretty and this dress is no exception. I would team it with a pair of black patent heels and smoky eyes, simple but stunning! Shame about the price tag...

A Portuguese shopping centre has decided to entertain customers taking a trip to the loo by placing scantily clad models in provocative poses. It seems to have been a hit with the men who have used the facilities! It has certainly got locals talking, and there will no doubt be a few more visitors once word gets round.

Yup, that's right. These trousers are all the rage (apparently) but I have to stick to my guns and call these a fashion no no. They are not at all flattering for the figure, and that goes for just about every body shape. They flare at the sides making thighs look thicker than they are, which no woman really wants. The tapered bottoms emphasise a pear shape to horrendous proportions and don't even get me started on the dropped crotch, MC Hammer style. Just plain wrong!
My advice to you girls is . . . Leave it to the belly dancers, and don't do it!

Probably one of the best sites for T-Shirts that has ever existed. The variety and range is brilliant, there really is something for everyone. It is quite fun just browsing too, I was giggling at many of the slogans and motifs. There are all types of t-shirts for guys, gals and kids alike and the quirky way that the products are photographed is unlike other shopping sites.
You can even join a club to receive a new and exclusive T-Shirt every month for a year and why not participate and submit your own idea for a new t-shirt design, visitors can rate potential ideas.
Did I mention they have a sale on too... get there before 23rd March and get Tees from just $9. Oh I do love a bargain and don't worry, they deliver to the UK too.
Here are some of my favourites...

A good clear out can do wonders for your mood, not to mention your home. I try and set aside time every 4-8 weeks to have a clear out. It enables you to get rid of the clutter you don't need, and can also help to remind you of those things you are already meant to have done...like paying that credit card bill!
Clothes and clutter...
1 - Sell
Try websites like ebay, bigwardrobe and playtrade.
2 - Donate
If it isn't worth much, donate to your preferred charity, they will be more than happy to take it.
3 - Recycle
If it is broken or full of holes then throw it out, or if you can then recycle it. Try your local freecycle network to find a good home for your unwanted goods.
1 - Save
Get important documents in order with some sort of filing cabinet, or expanding file.
2 - Shred
Make sure to destroy anything of a sensitive nature, no one wants their identity stolen.
3 - Recycle
Give magazines to friends or waiting rooms at dentists and doctors. Otherwise get the local recycling team to pick it up with your collection.
*If there are things you don't like to throw away because they hold memories, then how about making a scrapbook. It will be fascinating for those who stumble across it in years to come. It is fine to hold on to things, but do it for the right reasons and keep things you don't need to hand out of sight.
- If it's broken, you probably will never fix it. Throw it away, or give it to someone who will fix it.
- If it is the wrong size, chances are it always will be. Sell it and buy something else that fits.

Make-up goes from boring to daring with the latest trend for colourful cosmetics. Eyes are the focal point of the look with candy colours being the best option. Lips are not left out completely, try an orange toned lipstick or bright fuscia. I think its best to keep to eyes or lips rather than both at once though, lets not get too scary. Be bold and get inspiration below...
Blue, green and yellow make for a tropical eye.
Or how about a whole rainbow above your eyelashes?
This look is based on a sunset, with warm red and orange on the upper lids, and a shimmering blue below.
Oops....someone took it too far! Don't try this look at home.

Avon - Great offers on cosmetics.

Latest figures from retailers such as Boots have suggested that the perm is the nations fastest growing hairstyle of choice. Women all over the country are dashing to get their home perm kits in an 80's revival.
I have nothing against perms, but home perm kits are not really the best way to go curly. It is always best to ask a professional, and although you will pay more, you may be able to avoid a hair disaster. Of course the best curls are natural curls, so if you are lucky enough to have them you will be the envy of girls everywhere, or so it would seem. If you are not sure, try curlers or tongs, that way you can change your look with ease.

125ml - £4.49 or 50ml - £2.00
Not only does it look and smell nice, but it really is silky smooth and leaves hands super soft. I love the fact this comes in a 50ml size as it is ideal for a handbag meaning it is there when I need it. The whole Soap & Glory range is great, and I you have to appreciate the girly packaging and inventive product names.
Available exclusively at Boots.

This website is a great resource for saving money, paying off your debts and for tips on getting a good deal. There is a weekly newsletter with the latest freebies and tips and also a whole host of useful tools which are free to use.
The best tool in my eyes is the free budget planner. The format is an easy to use excel spreadsheet, where you can edit different columns and. No maths is required, it does all the work for you which is extremely useful.
It is a good idea to take a closer look at your finances from time to time, even if you don't want or need to use a budget planner every month. It enables you to identify where you can make savings, and where you are over spending. Then you can buy that pair of shoes and not feel so guilty about it!

Fabrics are softer and the look quite subtle, but the safari influence is most definitely there. This trend is perfect for the transitional months to come. Layer up and look stylish at the same time. Try belted shorts, dresses and jackets, chunky wooden and gold jewellery, and some gladiator style sandals. White, beige, khaki, tan and brown are obviously key colours but don't be afraid to experiment slightly. A flash of orange or yellow will lift the look and bring it right up to date.

I just couldn't choose which pair of shoes to feature this week. I tried and tried but in the end just decided to give in and have both. I am a woman after all, and we are notorious for our love of shoes. Kurt Geiger stocks big brands and is a respected name in its own right. The latest season has some stunning shoes and I am especially loving these ones below.

Yet another Hollywood face was facing court this week for charges of drunk driving. Mischa Barton will be charged with drunk driving, possession of marijuana and for driving without a valid license. She follows Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, Kiefer Sutherland and Mel Gibson who have all been in trouble with the police.
This seems to be a more and more regular occurrence and something that needs to be seriously addressed. These individuals have plenty of money to arrange alternative transport and trying to keep away from paparazzi cannot be used as an excuse. Getting behind the wheel of your car whilst drunk is a conscious choice and anyone who thinks they may make the wrong choice should leave the car keys at home. What happened to DES?
Perhaps it is a case of 'any publicity is good publicity'. Column inches for IT girls in particular are a means of staying in the public eye. Its just a shame that we have to hear more about celebrities behaving badly than doing something positive. But that is also down to news values and those will probably never change.

Avon's firming range has been well received by the industry and consumers alike. This Bust contouring cream has a delightful fragrance and feels luxuriously indulgent. Not only that, it is a fraction of the cost of other big name creams. With summer getting closer, bikinis and strappy tops imminent, giving your body some much needed attention is definitely necessary.
It is also a great excuse to regularly check your breasts for any abnormalities. Avon supports breast cancer charities in 50 countries around the world which have made a massive difference to survival rates, but early detection is still very important. Reese Witherspoon is a global ambassador for the company's charity work which tackles women's causes.
