I have come to realise that I have an uncontrollable obsession with small things. In particular food. When it comes to eating I like things to be miniature.

Of course, we women have a tendency to tell ourselves that 3 small chocolate bars are less fattening than 1 big one, regardless of the actual reality. But the good thing about eating little things, is that you can have more variety. I would rather 3 different small pieces of fruit than 1 large piece. It just seems more satisfying that way, and having several flavours is far more interesting than having to choose just one.

It got to the stage of ridicule at one of my workplaces. I brought raisins in a Chinese style dip bowl, ornately decorated and about 2.5 inches across. Apparently that was odd to some people. I also had mini sub rolls, mini Rolos and mini Pringles. I am also partial to a mini quiche, mini cheesecake...as you can imagine, buffets are like heaven to me!

My latest fixation has to be miniature fruit. Little bananas called bananitos (although they don't taste quite as good as normal ones) mini pears and mini kiwis. If they can shrink it, I will eat it, if it says 'handy lunchbox size' then I will be sure to buy it.
Am I the only one?
